Meet Our Nutritionist

Kara Pachniuk MS, CNS

Kara Pachniuk has been practicing as a Nutritionist since 2012, fueled by a long-standing interest in how food, habits, and mindset influence overall health. With experience working alongside an internist, within a school system, and most recently at a weight loss center, Kara has developed a compassionate, practical approach to nutrition that meets clients where they are. She now owns and operates a private nutrition practice in Old Saybrook, Connecticut, where she specializes in helping individuals build sustainable routines through organization, meal planning, goal setting, and ongoing accountability.

Kara’s mission is to empower clients to feel confident, nourished, and supported as they create healthier lifestyles—starting in their own homes. She believes that meaningful change comes from consistency, education, and self-compassion rather than restriction. Kara holds a bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience from Wheaton College in Massachusetts and a master’s degree in Human Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport. She is Connecticut State Certified and a Certified Nutrition Specialist (renewed in 2024).

Outside of her work, Kara enjoys being part of the Old Saybrook community and balancing life as a mom, which gives her a real-world understanding of busy schedules and everyday nutrition challenges. After launching her business in Madison, she is excited to continue growing her private practice in Old Saybrook.
