Healthy Halloween Tips

πŸ‘‰ Don't purchase πŸ πŸ¬ πŸ« until October 31st.
πŸ‘‰ If candy is already purchased, keep it out of sight.
πŸ‘‰ Be realistic. If nobody typically stops at your house, there's no need to buy candy.
πŸ‘‰ Know that on November 1st, all the candy will be on sale.
πŸ‘‰ If you want to enjoy a piece of candy –– savor it –– but know your limits. If candy is a trigger, it’s best to keep it away.
πŸ‘‰ Depending on the weather in your area, there is a chance that Halloween trick or treating is cancelled. If that is the case, donate your candy. Many dentists collect candy and send it overseas.
πŸ‘‰ Try giving out something other than candy, like stickers, little toys, and/or temporary tattoos. I will be personally doing this at my home. As the mother of a child with food allergies, I am now hypersensitive of the fact that when she is older, she may not be able to participate like everyone else on Halloween. I want everyone to feel included.
